1)<\/strong> Once you’ve purchased the Custom Twitter Feeds plugin, click on the \u201cDownloads<\/strong>\u201d tab to download the plugin.\u00a0 Your download link, license key, and purchase information are also emailed to you at the address which you provided during checkout.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Once you’ve downloaded the zip file, there’s no need to open it. You’ll be uploading and installing this zip file directly to WordPress.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re using Safari, please note:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The zip file will be automatically extracted after downloading it. You can disable this feature by navigating to Safari > Preferences > General ><\/em> Deselect the box with the text \u201cOpen safe files after downloading<\/strong>\u201c. After that, the plugin will now download as a .zip file and can be uploaded directly to WordPress.<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> If you are using the Free version of the WordPress plugin, then be sure to\u00a0deactivate<\/strong> it prior to installing the Pro version. After installing the Pro version, the free version can be deleted.<\/p>\n

Note: To transfer your settings from the Free version to the Pro version, do the following:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Check the “Preserve Settings if plugin is removed”<\/strong> setting, which can be found in the following location in WordPress: Twitter Feed > Settings \"Preserve<\/picture><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

4)<\/strong> To upload the Pro version of the plugin, click “Add New”<\/strong>\u00a0at the top of your WordPress Plugins page.<\/p>\n

5)<\/strong> Click “Upload Plugin”<\/strong>\u00a0at the top.<\/p>\n

6)<\/strong> Browse to the zip file which you downloaded when you purchased the plugin and click “Install Now”<\/strong><\/p>\n

7)<\/strong>\u00a0Activate the plugin.<\/p>\n

8)<\/strong> You\u2019ll now see the Twitter Feed menu appear in your WordPress menu. Click on it and navigate to Settings<\/strong>\u00a0to enter your license key.<\/p>\n

9)<\/strong>\u00a0Paste your license key into the field and click the\u00a0Activate\u00a0<\/strong>button (It may take a few clicks before it shows Active<\/em>). Then click the\u00a0Save Changes<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p>\n

10)<\/strong>\u00a0Click on\u00a0All Feeds<\/strong>\u00a0and then click on the button\u00a0labeled\u00a0Add new.<\/strong><\/p>\n

11)<\/strong> Select the Feed type<\/strong> you want to display, then click\u00a0Next<\/strong><\/p>\n

12)<\/strong> Add your Twitter handle name<\/p>\n

13)<\/strong> Select the template you want to use<\/p>\n

14)<\/strong> Customize your feed using the options on this screen, then click Save<\/strong><\/p>\n

Note:\u00a0<\/strong>the new API can not discern sponsored Tweets from other Tweets. As such, you may see unrelated Tweets in your feed. While our team looks for a solution to this, if you want to hide specific Tweets from your feed please use the\u00a0Hide specific tweets<\/em><\/strong> option under\u00a0Feed Options > Advanced > Filters<\/em>. Here you can enter the ID of the Tweet which will be the string of numbers at the end of the URL for that specific Tweet, e.g. if the Tweet URL is https:\/\/twitter.com\/smashballoon\/status\/1641790447130664960<\/strong>, the ID to add to the field is 1641790447130664960<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

15)<\/strong>\u00a0Once you\u2019re ready to embed your feed, click the\u00a0Embed<\/strong>\u00a0button and copy the shortcode.<\/p>\n

16)<\/strong>\u00a0To display your feed simply add the shortcode you created to any page, post, or widget, like so:<\/p>\n

17)<\/strong>\u00a0Navigate to the\u00a0All Feeds<\/strong>\u00a0page and click the\u00a0Edit\u00a0<\/b>button to customize your feed.<\/p>\n
